Energy excellence for 6 very social housings in the “Loir et Cher”
Very soon, modest families and persons in difficulty will settle down in affordable housings with high energy efficiency.

The “Pact Loir et Cher” (association aiming to serve inhabitants and their habitat), refurbished with the help of the Foundation, an old farmhouse in order to create 6 highly social housings, thrifty in charges and costs. These housings will be offered to households in difficulties and are BBC certified (Bâtiment Basse Consommation - Low Consumption Building).
From the design to the end of the works, through the financing and management, these housings are environment and user friendly (low charges and ease of use) and will be occupied starting this coming September.
The occupants will benefit from solar heating panels (for hot water) and photovoltaic cells (for the electricity) as well as from a highly efficient insulation. The building was subjected to negative air pressure to ensure airtightness of the renovated farmhouse (Blower door test with infrared spotting of leaks).
This operation will be performed on other sites, mainly in the “Indre-et-Loire”.In the framework of its program “2000 roofs for 2000 families”, the Foundation financed and gave support to this project.
