The Charter Committee

In 1989, associations decide to set up a professional code of ethics for collecting funds from the public: the Charter Committee is born.

Logo du Comité de la Charte

Today, more than 50 social and humanitarian organizations make up this committee, which has two simple objectives:

  • To draft a professional code of ethics regarding appeals for public generosity, and for this code to be respected by giving a seal of approval each year to the member organisations;
  • To encourage public generosity by being worthy of its trust.

A member since 1997, the Fondation Abbé Pierre pour le Logement des Défavorisés has had its certification renewed regularly ever since.
